Under Armour Team Sports (UK) provides team kit solutions to sporting folk and clubs throughout the UK. This sector is fast growing and the UA brand is now the third largest global brand for sportswear.
With only 8 weeks to cross the finish line the team was tasked with creating a new e-commerce website that rivaled the main consumer Under Armour site in the UK. Bringing the Team Sports site inline with brand guidelines and giving them a platform they can use to increase conversions and grow the brand online, the PE team delivered and considering the scale of solution it’s our new PB (which we are sure will be beaten!).
A potential problem that we overcame was the conversion of the data from one eCommerce solution to another and with the far from helpful deadline this facet had to be dealt with competently and efficiently to avoid what would have been disastrous mission creep. To ensure success here, we used online services, delving and immersing ourselves to ensure the many and varied kit combinations, prices and up-to-date product information remained intact and ready to use.
Whilst working with the UK and European marketing teams we didn’t get the opportunity to push the boundaries with the design and create something unique, not yet anyway, but we did focus on responsive design that delivered the eCommerce experience you would expect from a cutting edge brand and kit supplier. With more autonomy being relinquished, we look forward to being set free on the visual identity of the site to enhance the online portal further!
Enhanced SEO options that we will deploy and the development and implementation of an engaging and committed content strategy will provide greater opportunity to work hard at increasing their traffic throughout 2015 and this coupled with more UX and visual identity will increases conversions and web revenue.
